Lake Pointe Grapevine: A Smaller Pocket Near the Trails and Lake

A local look at Lake Pointe in Grapevine, Texas — a small 2010s neighborhood near Dove Loop, Oak Grove Park, and Lake Grapevine, and what sellers should know.

I walked Lake Pointe in Grapevine today and photographed the entrance. If you have seen “Lake Point” on a map or listing, this is the same pocket. The neighborhood name is Lake Pointe.

Lake Pointe Grapevine neighborhood entrance

It sits near Dove Road and Dove Loop, across from city park land, with trail connections toward Oak Grove Park and an easy bike ride toward Lake Grapevine and downtown. It is a short, contained neighborhood — roughly 60-plus homes built in the mid-2010s — not a sprawling 1990s subdivision.

What stands out in person

Lake Pointe feels newer and tighter than many Grapevine streets I show. Lots are typical suburban size. Homes are generally larger two-story residences. A handful were built with walkout basements, which is unusual in DFW and is one of the details buyers notice when they compare this pocket to older Grapevine neighborhoods.

The daily lifestyle is less “on the water” than the name sounds and more “close to the trail and the lake.” That still matters. Buyers who want Grapevine without living on a busy cut-through often like this location.

Schools and the usual caveat

The area is in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Nearby campuses often discussed for this pocket include Silver Lake Elementary, then the Grapevine / Colleyville Heritage feed. Always confirm the exact campus by address. Boundaries change, and one street can sit differently than the listing remarks imply.

If you want to sell a Lake Pointe home

Inventory here is thin because the neighborhood is small. That can help a well-priced listing. It also means buyers compare you to a short list of other newer Grapevine homes, not to the whole city.

What usually decides it:

  • Price against recent closed sales in this pocket, not against an asking price two streets over
  • Photos that show the entrance, the street, the trail access, and the backyard grade (especially if you have a basement walkout)
  • Clear remarks. “Near the lake” is weaker than “across Dove Loop from park land, with trail access toward Oak Grove Park”

I list this part of Grapevine the same way I list SilverCrest, Hidden Lakes, and Lakeside: one agent, honest numbers, and marketing that matches the actual street.
